Dynamics Block

Dynamics Block is everything that makes a piece of furniture move (mechanism, rails, body, connections and alignment), built at Dynamics as one compact, ready-to-install unit. A Block is not a model: we make two or three mechanisms compact, calibrate them and tailor them to your brand; that Block is sold to you only. The furniture maker only dresses it; all the work and all the responsibility for the motion stay with Dynamics.

    If it moves, it’s aligned

    Every Block carries the Dynamics Alignment System. It recalibrates the alignment with every opening and closing; however often the table opens, it stays as true as on the first day. A Block is either aligned or it does not move at all.

    No sag

    The body is designed together with the mechanism to carry the load of the top. Even large, heavy stone or ceramic tops do not sag or go out of square. Total load of 20–400 kg depending on the application.

    Dynamics Monoblock

    Most extending tables need a gap at the joints to work. Dynamics Block Dual does not. Open or closed, stone, ceramic or wood reads as one surface.

Dressing

We build the motion. You dress it.

The Block stays invisible inside the furniture. The design is the furniture maker’s; the motion is Dynamics’. Installation is so simple that the table need not be assembled in the factory; it can be done at the point of sale or even in the user’s home.

How much load does Dynamics Block carry?
The body is designed together with the mechanism to carry the load of the top. Depending on the application it carries a total load of 20 kg to 400 kg; the value is set for your top while your Block is developed.
What is Dynamics Block?
Dynamics Block is a ready-to-install motion unit developed for your brand: two or three mechanisms, synchronised rails and the body in one compact, calibrated unit. You add legs and a top; we take on the motion and the responsibility for it. A Block is not a catalogue model; every Block is sold to that brand only.
How do I know which Block is right for my project?
Your Block is defined by three things: the sizes of the top and the extension leaf, the opening movement you want and where the table will be used. The example Blocks suit tops from 1600 mm (closed) to 4000 mm (open); the multi-leaf Dynamics Block Fold example opens up to 4800 mm. We develop your Block together with our technical team.
Does Dynamics Block work with any tabletop?
It works with ceramic, natural stone, glass and wood tops, provided they are mounted on a layer that takes screws, such as a wood-based panel. The top and its fixing are defined together while your Block is developed.
What is Dynamics Block made of?
Dynamics Block is engineered in two high-performance materials: steel and aluminium. Steel bodies offer maximum structural strength and suit systems that need high load capacity and durability. Aluminium bodies give an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and are especially suited where weight matters.
Is Dynamics Block hard to install?
No. A Block arrives ready to install: you add legs and a top. Every Block comes with illustrated instructions and detailed technical data; it can be installed in the factory, at the point of sale or in the user’s home.
Can Dynamics Block be used outdoors?
Yes. A Block for outdoor use is designed with weather-resistant materials and finishes during its development; the requirements of the setting are defined together at the start of the project.
