Frequently asked questions
FAQHow many hinges should a door have?
Rule of thumb: 2 hinges up to 900 mm, 3 up to 1600 mm, 4 up to 2000 mm and 5 up to 2400 mm. Heavier or wider doors need more; the hinge calculator in the Technical Assistant gives the exact result.
Why does my soft-close hinge not close the door fully?
Usually the damping force is too high for the door or the depth is misadjusted. On light doors activate the damper on only some of the hinges, then bring the door closer with the depth screw.
What is the power factor of a lift-up fitting?
Power factor = door height (mm) × door weight (kg, incl. handle). For example 400 mm × 5 kg = 2000. Choose the fitting size that covers this value – the LIFTA calculator recommends the right one.
Do you make custom sizes or custom mechanisms?
Yes. For series projects we develop mechanisms around your product and production process: CAD design, prototype, testing and series delivery. Define your needs in Dynamics Motion and request a quote.
Which tests do your products pass?
Force and displacement are recorded for every assembly, and our measurement and test lab runs micron measurement, pressure and helium leak tests. Test and reporting requirements for a project are agreed together at the quotation stage.
What are the warranty terms?
Warranty terms are stated in your quote and order confirmation for each product family and project; correct installation and use are required.
How much load do Dynamics Block frames carry?
Dynamics Block frames are designed for durability and heavy daily use. Depending on the model, they carry a total load of 20 kg to 400 kg.
What is a Dynamics Block table frame?
Dynamics Block table frames are the core structure that turns your furniture into a universe of possibilities. Each Dynamics Block combines highly engineered extension systems with a sturdy metal structure: a semi-complete solution that simplifies production while allowing unlimited customisation.
How do I know which frame is right for my project?
Choosing the ideal frame comes down to three factors: 1. The sizes you want for the tabletop and the extension leaf. 2. The opening mechanism that best fits your design and functional needs. 3. Where the table will be used: indoors or outdoors? Dynamics Block solutions suit tabletops from 1600 mm (closed) to 4000 mm (open); multi-leaf models such as Dynamics Block Fold open up to 4800 mm. For special projects our technical team develops the right solution with you.
Do Dynamics Block frames work with any tabletop?
Our philosophy is to widen possibilities, not limit them. Our frames work with ceramic, natural stone, glass and other materials, provided they are mounted on a layer that takes screws, such as wood-based panels. This versatility lets you create unique tables that reflect each project’s identity.
What are Dynamics Block frames made of?
Our frames are engineered in two high-performance materials: steel and aluminium. Steel frames offer maximum structural strength and suit systems that need high load capacity and durability. Aluminium frames give an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and are especially suited where weight matters.
Is a Dynamics Block frame hard to assemble?
No. Dynamics Block frames are designed for simplicity and efficiency. Every system comes with illustrated instructions and detailed specifications, so assembly is easy. Whether you are a manufacturer, retailer or designer, the process is optimised to save time and maximise efficiency, so you can focus on what really matters: creating outstanding spaces.
Can Dynamics Block frames be used outdoors?
Yes. Our Dynamics Block frames designed for outdoor use combine weather-resistant materials with a sturdy structure for long-lasting durability and performance outside. For special outdoor requirements or harsh conditions, our joint development service with Dynamics Motion adapts the frame design and materials to the environment, so your table works safely on a terrace, in a garden or anywhere outdoors.
