Orbital and radial riveting

We build orbital and radial riveting, angled applications included, into our own cells. Our servo Z-axis head descends on an S-curve profile and records the force of every rivet.

Pressing and precision fits

Bearing pressing, pin and bushing assembly, and placing small parts such as springs, washers and balls. Force is applied and monitored in both tension and compression.

Precision screwdriving and micro torque

Torque-controlled screwdriving, automatic screw feeding and tapping. The torque and angle of every joint are written to the part’s record.

Assemblies that rotate or open into place

Some parts do not simply drop into place: they have to rotate, open or be positioned at an angle on the housing. For these assemblies we design the motion around the part.

Sub-micron assembly on hydrostatic axes

Actively aligned micro assembly and force-controlled joining on friction-free hydrostatic axes. Medical and defence projects are handled case by case under a non-disclosure agreement.

Managing tolerance along the chain

A mechanism is only as precise as the stacked tolerance of its parts. We keep that stack within target at the design stage, and build dedicated processes for parts standard machines will not take or that change shape after assembly.

Laser marking and engraving

Permanent micro marking with a pulsed fibre laser: serial number, date and traceability code, matched to the RFID record.

Rotary precision laser welding

A welding cell that joins micro tubes and sleeves while rotating them, with active alignment and force-decoupled fixtures: seams repeatable to the micron for work that tolerates no error.

Optical alignment

Laser splicing and alignment of optical fibres, and placing mirrors and crystals inside high-power lasers to the micron.

Micro dosing

Dosing cells that apply adhesive, grease, silicone and epoxy in measured, repeatable amounts.

A force–displacement record for every assembly

In pressing and riveting, the force–displacement curve is recorded for every part. A curve outside the defined window rejects the part automatically.

Leak and pressure testing

Helium mass-spectrometer leak testing and a hydraulic sealing assembly and test cell up to 3500 bar, for valves, hydraulic cartridges and nozzles.

Measurement at micron level

Dimensional checks at micron level with linear encoders and gauge probes, edge and surface inspection with a 3D microscope, and function tests with load cells and class 0.1 pressure sensors.

Controlled production environment

Stable workshop temperature, vibration isolation and 24/7 acoustic monitoring of linear guides, so micron work is protected from its environment.

Automotive software and coding

We are experienced in coding BMW vehicles with E-Sys, diagnostics with ISTA-D and programming with ISTA-P. Demanding turbo, sensor, fuel rail, transmission and brake assemblies get the same production-line discipline.
